The Roma Shopper is a quilted bag in hand-printed cotton using the block print technique, designed by Fabindia Roma. It is available in floral patterns — Hybiscus, Pomegranade, Mary Gold, Green Dream, College and Pink Flower — all crafted on Indian cotton with diamond quilting and double handles. Every variant has the same roomy format and the same artisanal construction, with a different print.

The Roma Shopper’s quilting follows the traditional Indian method: two layers of printed cotton are joined by diamond stitching that creates a light padded effect. This technique gives the bag body without weighing it down, and every stitch is made by hand. The cotton is printed with hand-carved wooden blocks, one for each colour in the pattern, following the block print technique typical of artisanal Indian cotton bags.

We recommend hand-washing in cold water with a neutral soap, without wringing the fabric. Dry in the shade to preserve the block print colours. Hand-printed cotton may release slightly during the first wash — this is a natural characteristic of plant-based pigments. Avoid bleach and tumble drying.
