Crafting Technique
Block Printing
The ancient technique of printing with wooden blocks demands great skill from both the carver and the printer. Each traditional or contemporary design may require several blocks, with a separate printing pass for every colour. Printing can only take place in dry conditions to allow the dyes to set properly. Our fabric is one of a kind and may have slight irregularities due to artisanal craftsmanship.
